Our selected classifier, a mixture of Gaussian with reject-option classifier, is trained on iron ore locations in the Pilbara, but correctly predicts the location of key iron deposits throughout the Yilgarn Craton. Finally, we apply our algorithm to a Canadian iron province to determine its appropriateness for global classification schemes.
